Choose how to form an alliance

The Professional Alliance Program is a collaboration between your firm and Ameriprise Financial that provides your clients access to integrated financial services and advice. To make sure this alliance fits with your goals and your desired level of involvement, we’ve created four options for how you can work with an Ameriprise financial advisor.

1. Center of Influence

Outside of a formal relationship, professionals provide referrals to the financial advisor solely to help their client. There is no compensation or expectation for referrals in return.

2. Fixed payment

A formal partnership agreement for non-licensed professionals to earn income payments for referring new clients to the financial advisor.

3. Commission share

A formal revenue-sharing partnership agreement for licensed professionals to earn recurring commission for referring clients to an advisor.

 

4. Advisory fee share

A formal revenue-sharing partnership, as a third-party solicitor, to earn recurring income by referring clients to an advisor practice.
